Or could she make some kind of bargain where she offers herself to her infatuated foe in exchange for their or her father’s life? What if it had? What if Jack, already such a psychologically fucked-up man, found that his obsession with Jamie had now grown into an obsession with his wife as well? What if the way she acted so familiar towards him and yet also so afraid proved infuriatingly seductive? This can happen any time in the first book, in addition to or instead of what he does to Jamie, instead of or a continuation of his attack on her when she’s trying to reach the stones, etc. I don’t want him to just be going after her to upset or as a proxy for Jamie, but feel free to explore the psychological twistiness or all this. I just want to see this nasty man be nasty to our heroine!

Clancy Brown’s voice in the DCAU got me thinking about Lex Luthor in a whole new light, and whenever he’s interested in Lois in the comics makes me happy! So let’s expand upon that. What happens after the supervillain gets his hands on the damsel in distress? This could take place anywhere in the main comics timeline, or elsewhere in the multiverse- I greatly enjoyed him trying to exercise droit du seignor as her liege lord in the Elseworlds story Kal. I love Lois’s resilience no matter the era, and I am extremely into Clark’s chivalric devotion to her if you want to throw that in as a hurt/comfort bonus.

These pictures have been on my mind for years, that’s how affecting they are. This looks like the kind of weird, messed up animated movie that would first intrigue and then terrify children and end up haunting them forever. (If you want to, you could tell the story via a youtuber doing something like The Disturbing Gothic Children’s Movie Everyone But Me Forgot.)

I am so happy to see art depicting Dracula as an actual predator and Lucy trying to actually get away, so I would also love more of that. What are the just-borderline-inappropriate scenes between them? Is Lucy the one who saves Mina from such a fate? And how wacky are all the other Dracula heroes? Which ones became someone’s first animated crush? (No fluffy consensual ships with Dracula and anyone, please, but feel free to make him hot in a villainous way.)

And the mice! Are they rebels against Dracula’s tyranny over rodents? Is Lucy just a Disney Princess so sweet she charms animals into anthropomorphic versions of themselves?

You can pick your favorite creature or local legend and tell a story about John either fighting or making peace with it.

My only real DNW here is nothing about the confederacy- Manly Wade Wellman sometimes had stories that talked about it in a vaguely nostalgic way, but I would rather not.

Such a fun show, and it’s criminal that it’s so obscure! If you want to do a canon-typical escapade for the gang that would be fun, or you can experiment with alternate setups. I would love to see all these characters in a Spaghetti Western! Or play the terrifying Stampede for eldritch horror, and our heroes as a Call of Cthulhu party! (Try not to kill off the heroes, though.) I was extremely happy for BraveStarr/JB to be confirmed in the movie, and would be happy to see more of that, though friendship is also okay if you’re feeling genfic. And what about Tex Hex teetering on the verge of redemption? I will honestly just be super happy to get fic for this fandom at all!

Regarding characters, you can drop any single one except BraveStarr if your story demands it.

The Wrong Earth

Dragonflyman, The Dragonfly, Deuce | Lady Dragonflyman

I am so happy to have found this comic series capitalizing on the inherent comedy in the differences between Batman incarnations, and I think there’s even more hilarity to be had! I love The Dragonfly not being totally cold-hearted, Dragonflyman not being a total fool, and I love every single thing about Deuce (including shipping her with the Dragonfly!) While I didn’t specifically request Stinger, I’m happy to see him interacting with any of the above, as well. What new situations can you put them in? How would any of them react to another Batman/Dragonfly world- Arkham Asylum a Serious House on Serious Earth? 40s Batman serials? The Dark Knight Returns? Or how would you tie up the currently ongoing plot? I obviously love the humor of this setup, but you can take a more serious examination of how insane this all must be to go through. There’s a lot to have fun with!

Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty: A Gothic Romance

This ballet was just made for me, just absolutely made for me. A love triangle between a kindhearted maiden, a predatory vampire and an innocent youth? That’s just my favorite dynamic ever! And everything was so pretty! You could give me the darkest, wickedest captivity story about Aurora and Caradoc. Rescue at the end by Leo is welcome but optional (this is the character exception- I like Leo, but you can focus on just Aurora and Caradoc.) And if they have escaped, where are they going from there?

You could also flesh out a bit about the vampire world. How are a pair of sweet kids like Aurora and Leo going to adjust to what they have become? Will they be outcasts in vampire society or come to rule it?

And of course, how will all the characters integrate- or not- to waking up in the 21st century?

I’ve made multiple friends watch this and they always love it, so I hope you do too! What’s our favorite prisoner going through that’s spookier than usual? Something comically ineffective, something diabolical in its cruelty, or even something distracting enough to help him turn the tables? I love the “I’m not locked in here with you, you’re locked in here with me!” episodes, so a take on that, whether light or dark, would be awesome. Art can draw on the bizarre looks of the Village, or even be something silly with Six seeing Rover or whatever dressed up for Halloween- or really, anything that you think would look good.

I love Courier/Boone as two people doing revenge-based therapy, and I love Courier/House as a noir dame and her sugar daddy saving the wasteland through ruthless practicality. I would like a Good Karma Courier, but her loyalties can be to the NCR, House or herself. (For the Courier/House ship, of course, it should be House.) She can battle monsters or a gang of raiders who style themselves after monsters, or you can even show her through the eyes of the Legion as becoming their own boogeyman with her own mythology. For art, you can do something noir, western or scifi themed, as befits the wonderful genre mashup that is New Vegas.

So, what’s the deal with Morrison? He seems like a lot more than a bounty hunter. Is he death? Is he the devil? Is he a mystical gunslinger making his way towards the Dark Tower or something like it? I’d love for you to give him a nice spooky backstory, whether he turns out to be a good guy or a bad guy. Whether Trick or Treat, horror-inspired art would be welcome, showing him in the moonlight or by the fireside looking eerie, or having mysterious, possibly even bloody, encounters.

You could do something creepy where you play up the Staryk Lord as a demon lover or the kind of fae who abducts beautiful women (though if it’s an AU, please keep Miryem Jewish.) For something softer, give us a glimpse of the marriage as they grow in fondness and get to know each other. What does it feel like to genuinely fall in love as or with an inhuman being?

For art, the style of ornate folk art on the book cover is always beautiful, but you could also focus on illustrating one of the scenes above. Either way, it would be very nice to see them together!

Has one singular demon called TAMMY been stalking Ron throughout his life? Does his love of Twin Peaks end up training Ben on how to deal with all this? I would rather none of the “good guys” die, but you can treat any of the non-mains as canon fodder if you want to. For art, something emphasizing the creepy fields or parks at night, invoking prairie horror, could be amazing.

Devil is Fine

The concept for this album (and band) was a plantation where the enslaved turned to the devil instead of Jesus for salvation and sang spirituals to him. That’s a pretty kick-ass story right there. Is the devil truly a being of evil, or just misunderstood, or somewhere in between? What aid does he give, and what comes of that aid? It’s the perfect setup for folk horror, brutal or triumphant or both. The music video wasn't nominated, but feel free to pull any imagery from it you like! For art, again you can draw from the video, but I'd also love to see just what the devil described in this song looks like.

I love these two so much, the misfits of the superhero world. (“Your children are going to watch Rorschach get laid,” the DCAU said, “and there’s nothing you can do about it!”) You can do them fighting against horror-themed villains like Scarecrow or Doctor Destiny, or I would LOVE to see them in Gotham by Gaslight or another gothic Victorian AU. For art, you can do something in the style of the show, inspired by your favorite comic art, or penny dreadful style line art.

When I watched the crossover episode of Batman and Superman the Animated Series, I was really struck by everyone’s chemistry together. Bruce and Lois dated and genuinely seemed into each other, and of course Bruce and Clark were destined to be BFFs. Could they all make this work? I’d like to see! You can set this anywhere in the timeline, starting out or established, but I’d love to see that chemistry again! And for art, if you want to do your favorite comic style or something inspired by it, that would make me happy!

Devil is Fine - Zeal & Ardor (Song)

The concept for this album (and band) was a plantation where the enslaved turned to the devil instead of Jesus for salvation and sang spirituals to him. That’s a pretty kick-ass story right there. Is the devil truly a being of evil, or just misunderstood, or somewhere in between? What aid does he give, and what comes of that aid? It’s the perfect setup for folk horror, brutal or triumphant or both. I didn’t nominate the music video, but feel free to pull any imagery from it you like! For art, again you can draw from the video, but I'd also love to see just what the devil described in this song looks like.

The Witch of Westmorland - Stan Rogers (Song)

I love the mythic, vaguely Arthurian feel to this song, where you’d fully believe it was written a thousand years ago and is now the only record of some local legend. If you want to connect it to the Arthurian legends feel free, but there’s plenty to work with even without that. The witch is so mysterious! The knight came from a very bad situation! Who are they both, and what will they do when the song is ended? I’d prefer it they remained vaguely good guys, but there can be some morally gray medievalia going on. And I’m happy for Knight/Witch fic, but please no details on centaur sex! Art could be appropriately fairy tale-ish or mythic, whatever that means to you.

Pumped Up Kicks - Hildegard von Blingin' (Song)

I love how just changing the language in this song turned it into a dark Robin Hood ballad (he's even named Robert!) I'd prefer to go that angle rather than medieval school shooter, but feel free to get as violent and gritty as you want. You can show an adventure/crime spree, or the end of his career, or the beginning of it. Art could draw from illuminated medieval figures, or other styles that say 'ye olden days' to you.

The Devil Came Up to Boston - Adam Ezra Group (Song)

What can I say, this is just a really funny song! There are a lot of plot hooks you can work with here. The devil going to a series of different locations to embody stereotypes and challenge people for their souls! Sully having more urban fantasy adventures in Boston! The Dropkick Murphies just showing up whenever magical music showdowns happen so they can jam! Once again, while I didn't nominate the video, you can also pull from that, with a foul-mouthed band shocking and terrifying a talent show. For art, I would love to see cartoons of anything that happens in the song.

Cherry Red - Charming Disaster (Song)

Oh man, this song terrifies me, and has me on edge every time I use my gas stove. Just going into detail on the "haunting" would be spooky enough, or you could draw on the band's suggestion that maybe it was a ghost who left the gas on and doomed the living tenants. I'm also not opposed to them being saved at the last minute (by people or even by a friendlier ghost!) but it should be eerie nonetheless. Any art for this of the "hauntings" would chill me to the core!

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight - Heather Dale (Song)

I'm fascinated by the version of Gawain presented here, who may or may not be the same one as in Heather Dale's other Arthurian songs. He's pagan and worships some version of the Green Man! What's that like? Did Morgause or Morgan raise him that way? Who's the lady to whom he has sworn loyalty? (Please, please be Ragnell!) What are the implications of his encounter with his god? As in the original poem, might there have been some minor way he failed while overall meeting the challenge? Art illustrating the ending or the beginning with him and the Green Knight would be amazing.

I love Batman and Superman the Animated Series so much, and I especially love how both the protagonists end up head over heels in love with and protective of Lois Lane! (She even shows up in Bruce’s sad “Ones that got away” slideshow in Batman Beyond!) And so, what my id wants is more of that. Put Lois in a whumpy situation, and have the boys rescue her. The depth of whump can be variable- saved in the nick of time or after trauma happens- and Lois can do some heroism of her own too, as she did in the show! There are many potential bad guys for this- the various evil alternate versions of Clark and Bruce, Lex Luthor, and while I’m less keen on Joker, Two Face and Rupert Thorn work well. I only know the first season/book, but I was extremely intrigued by this villain who so closely resembled Claire’s lost love even as he was being incredibly cruel- but for better or for worse, it didn’t end up playing with that much. What if it had? What if Jack, already such a psychologically fucked-up man, found that his obsession with Jamie had now grown into an obsession with his wife as well? What if the way she acted so familiar towards him and yet also so afraid proved infuriatingly seductive? This can happen any time in the first book, in addition to or instead of what he does to Jamie, instead of or a continuation of his attack on her when she’s trying to reach the stones, etc. I don’t want Jack to just be going after Claire to upset or as a proxy for Jamie, but feel free to explore the psychological twistiness or all this. If you want to play with the lines of consent, you can mess with Claire’s head, with any lingering feelings for her first husband coming out in unhappy ways when being manhandled by his doppleganger. Claire/Jamie is a good thing to include as well, but you can leave him out if that's not your thing and do a scene when he first meets and menaces her at the beginning. I just want to see this nasty man be nasty to our heroine!

Chosen ones, trapped in narratives that don’t want them to be happy. Could they help each other be happy? Pretty much any point after Buffy left college could work (I haven’t read the comics) and anywhere along Bruce’s timeline as well. She could brighten his life and he could be the support she always needs but often doesn’t get. Comic style art would be great, or if you have another driving idea I’d love to see that!

You can set this anywhere in the timeline, starting out or established, but I’d love to see that chemistry again! This show is a lot of fun! Even if he’s the comic straight man, this Batman really convinces me he’s a great, heroic guy, and I like that Catwoman puts him in death traps that often seem like excuses to tie him up. This was THE movie for awful villain/heroine ships! Sexual tension turns dangerous, and danger turns into sexual tension. I was extremely happy and also creeped out when he said “I may have to steal you!” My DNW for this movie is dwelling on the fate of the politician and his family- even if this is a version where Jackson wins, I don’t need the details. Or maybe Lisa still saves them, but Jackson tries to keep her rather than kill her for it? Or could she make some kind of bargain where she offers herself to her infatuated foe in exchange for their or her father’s life? The story can end with either Jackson or Lisa winning, or ambiguously, I’m fine with whatever. If you really don’t want to write shipfic, I’d be happy to read something where they continue their cat and mouse games through future confrontations. And seeing genre or time period AUs are always welcome!

Such a fun, silly movie! And absolutely perfect for anyone who likes to read or write Problematic Fanfiction. You can write about all four of those characters, or just focus on one of the two heroine/villain ships (China/Dracula or Sarah/de Sade.) The movie (and its sequel) have lots of references and homages to classic horror movies, so that would be fun to see here! In any case, this is a great place to pile on all the gothic tropes and aesthetics your heart desires. If you write sex, I know the real life Marquis de Sade was into some of my DNWs, but try to steer clear of them if you can.

Some ideas:

Sarah and China are very much positioned as the Virgin and the Whore, respectively, but surely there must be some more to their characters than that! What if they were the two survivors who had to rally troops of monster-hunters against the forces of darkness? (Mark can be there too if you want, I have nothing against him.) How would Sarah deal with being put in a position of leadership? How would China deal with having to think about the well-being of people other than herself?
Tell me about the women whose situations the girls found themselves in, Dracula’s victim and the Marquis’ plaything. Tell me how they ended up in those situations. Alternately, what if they found themselves in America in the 1980s when Sarah and China took their places?
Explore the darkly sexy situations Sarah and/or China were in if the camera hadn’t cut away (China) or Mark hadn’t been there to rescue them (Sarah.) Straightforward porny stuff is fine, or you could spin it into a full story of the aftermath. (I know the Marquis plans to whip Sarah to death, but I’d rather that didn’t happen- he can spare her life or she can escape, whatever you want.) This can be a seductive dom-sub scene, full on noncon, or anything in between.
The sequel has characters hopping between times and alternate universes, so if you want to bring that into the events of the first movie, that could be fun. Sarah and China find themselves running from one sexy horror movie scene to the next, having to deal with a whole range of hot villains interested in them!

I love that Selva, the closest thing to our protagonist and our Final Girl, survives not because she’s the only morally pure character but because the actress and director decided together that this is how it would go for her, and that she quite literally makes love not war. I’m fascinated by questions around Psyche- was she a sadist who wanted to hurt everyone around her, a naive hippie who thought she was helping everyone expand their consciousnesses, or a callous manipulator who simply wanted to see what would happen?

For fic, this movie reminded me a lot of The Bacchae, so tying it in with mythology (is Psyche connected to the bride of Eros, or a maenad?) or with history (what if this was a bal des victimes or a 1920s German cabaret?) would be fun. For a contemporary setting, are Psyche or Selva witches? Could such a violent and emotional event leave behind an eternal dance party of ghosts? For art, I would love absolutely anything, but something playing into the psychedelic experience would be great.

This could be still in the modern day, or an AU where it all goes down during the 1890s. Evie would be the absolute heart of that friend group/polycule! (Just don't make the Dracula heroes racist towards her, please!) Might Lucy have originally been Lucy Westenra?

I fell into watching this show and was blown away by how creative and smart it was (and holy cow, the things they did in the movie with a higher budget!) I love all these characters, and I would be happy to just see some canon-typical interactions, but you could also do something like finish up the plots (does Tex Hex ever get fully redeemed, or Stampede defeated once and for all?) And if you want to flesh out the characters (what tribe is our hero actually from?) I’d love that! Art can go for the style of the cartoon, or I would love to see something that looks like the cover of an old pulp western or science fiction novel.

I’m also down for AUs that play around with the western genre. What if BraveStarr was a spaghetti western? What if it was a No Country for Old Men-style modern western? What if it was a Ravenous-style horror western? What if our heroes came in conflict with Firefly-style space western outlaws? In all these cases I’d prefer for Bravestarr, JB and Thirty-Thirty not to die, but it can get dark and spooky (or not) as you like!

I loved Scarecrow and the one-off Mistress of Fear comic when I was a teen, and fell back into loving it all again this year! Either or both of these characters are naturals for a horror Trick story, but they could also have a funny or bittersweet Treat, being the huge dorks that they are. While my favorite Jonathan Crane backstory was in Scarecrow Year One, feel free to involve any other era he was in, even the animated series or the Nolanverse (who can forget Cillian Murphy’s eyes?) Becky is a cool character in her own right and I wish she’d stuck around. What's it like to be a lawyer in Gotham, where only the worst and wackiest things go on trial?

If you want to do shipfic, it could be dark and dubcon or surprisingly nice (what if he had actually met and wooed her under better circumstances?) She could accept his Mistress of Fear title, or it could progress some other way, even just via far away complicated pining. It could also be fun to have a Brian Azzarello’s Joker-style story from the POV of the henchman in Mistress of Fear who wanted to sell the fear gas to foreign dictators but got told to go scare some girl to make her admit Scarecrow was cool instead. And there’s always the option of Scarecrow just having fun around Gotham on Halloween, giving out real frights or surprising everyone by just giving out candy to kids.

For art, pick your favorite Batman media to emulate, whether that’s a comic era, game, show or movie. What would all this look like in a Burtonesque nightmare, or the janky 1940s serials featured on Rifftrax?

You could do something creepy where you play up the Staryk Lord as a demon lover or the kind of fae who abducts beautiful women (though if it’s an AU, please keep Miryem Jewish.) For something softer, give us a glimpse of the marriage as they grow in fondness and get to know each other. What does it feel like to genuinely fall in love as or with an inhuman being?

For art, the style of ornate folk art on the book cover is always beautiful, but you could also focus on illustrating one of the scenes above. Either way, it would be very nice to see them together!

I love the book-within-a-book part of Misery, both seeing as it goes increasingly gothic and seeing Paul reflect that he’d actually liked the characters and setting before he’d had to start churning out books on schedule. When I saw the actual romance characters nominated, I jumped for joy! You could give a glimpse into one of the books, either an earlier rollicking bodice ripper or a horror-tinged scene from Misery’s Return or hypothetical subsequent gothic sequels. (Just, uh, maybe not with the Darkest Africa plot.)

I’m also very intrigued by the idea of Paul or Annie interacting with Misery! Annie might have personified Misery as a real being who was her friend, or Paul might have started seeing or talking to her during captivity and figured “Well, I guess I finally snapped.” Is she just a hallucination, or could she really be trying to rescue Paul or soften Annie’s heart?

Art in the style of old school “clinch covers” of romance novels would be lovely, possibly more horrific (or openly poly).

Israel’s narrative voice is wonderful, and I can easily imagine a scene where he describes a murder (or the haunting created by a murder) written in the same style, or a tender romantic or family scene with the same wry narration. Sibella is a wacky character herself, unconcerned about the consequences of anything she or her lover might do, no matter how twisted the circumstances. (And is she related to Basil Hallward, by any chance? Might she enlist Israel to help solve his disappearance?)

For art, this calls to mind the eerie/goofy Edwardian aesthetic of Edward Gorey. I’m certainly not opposed to something cute, though!

A lot of cool things could come from merging Gotham with Ankh-Morpork, cities representing the worst but sometimes also the best of weird worlds! Some prompts: Vetinari becomes the mayor of Gotham, and Batman finds himself in Vimes’s place, trying to rebel against him but always seeming to do exactly what the man wants. Edward Nygma wakes up after a police shootout to see Vetinari, who asks if he believes in angels. Susan must use her anti-boogeyman skills against a being giving everyone nightmares of a scarecrow. Vimes and the other members of the Watch track down a killer clown, and have to get to him before the actual Fools’ Guild does.

A specific DNW for this would be major character death, though characters can be arrested with the implication of future execution.

Jupiter Ascending/Warhammer 40k

My impression on seeing Jupiter Ascending was “It’s the Warhammer 40k movie!” followed by “It’s about the unexpected heiress to a Rogue Trader dynasty fighting off her family and falling in love with a Space Wolf!” You don’t have to follow those thoughts to the letter (though I’d be happy if you did!), I just think these two space operas would fit perfectly together. You can use W40k characters if you want or simply the setup, and find out what happens when Jupiter is brought into the world. Don’t kill her or Caine off, but it would be appropriate for it to get violent!

Dracula/Buzzfeed Unsolved

The boys tackle the case of a series of mysterious deaths that culminated in that of a European count, and followed by the friends and loved ones of his solicitor! Maybe it’s labeled as supernatural, maybe it’s labeled as true crime, or maybe somewhere in between. Do they come up with an idea even vaguely close to the truth, or is every single idea completely wrong? DNW bashing of the hero characters or consensual pairings with Dracula, but feel free to speculate wildly.

Dracula (Hammer)/Frankenstein (Hammer)

I think every Hammer fan has wondered what would happen if Dracula mistook Frankenstein for Van Helsing, or a mob of angry villagers mistook Van Helsing for Frankenstein. What happens next? I ship Van Helsing/Marianne (from Brides of Dracula) as his future wife and mother of future Van Helsings; you can use this or not. Don’t kill Van Helsing (or Marianne if you use her) but Dracula and Frankenstein have died plenty of times so do whatever you want with them! Take it as seriously (or not) as you want.

Hannibal/Columbo

Hannibal feels a lot like a Columbo villain to me. Could Columbo catch him? I certainly hope so! I would prefer the fic not focus on shipping Hannibal with anyone, though of course his relationships with Will, Alanna, Bedelia and Abigail can be discussed. Don’t kill off Columbo, just make Hannibal squirm under the scrutiny of “Just one more thing…”

Black Sails/The Good Place

I have one stupid idea: what if Eleanor Shellstrop were to replace Eleanor Guthrie? How would it go if she were the one holding a pirate town together, jerking Vane around and trading insults with Ned Low? Would she get onboard with Flint and his ideas, or be firmly against them? For that matter, what would the rest of Team Cockroach be like as pirates or others living in Nassau? Crossover relationships are encouraged, whether those are friendly, romantic or antagonistic (canon ships for either canon are also fine.) Can all these dirtbags pull together, or encourage each other to be even more dirtbaggy?

Dracula/The Invitation (2022)

I adored The Invitation; probably the only thing I didn’t like was the use of the Harkers as names for throwaway minions of Dracula. Could we rectify that? How could Evie and the Dracula heroes help each other out? You could set it all in the modern day, all in the 1800s, or have some method of time travel or ghost communication reach through to Evie in her time of need. She and Jonathan could come upon each other when they’re both prisoners of Dracula, or she could find them and ask for help when they’re on their way to storm the castle. DNW consensual Dracula/Mina or Dracula/Jonathan, but Dracula (“Walter”)/Evie can have all the complicated and dubcon-y vibes from the movie! I don’t want a totally unhappy ending, but this can get dark (or not) as you see fit.

Twin Peaks/Parks and Recreation

What would the Parks and Recreation Department of Twin Peaks be like? What kind of horrible town history would Leslie repeat with a beaming smile on her face? Ron was abused by three different women with the same name- is there a Black Loge entity named TAMMY? How would everyone react to the death of Laura Palmer, surely involved with all sorts of community good works? What black comedy could arise from Cooper and Harry trying to get straight answers out of the Parks folk? If you can find a balance of darkness and light that works for your story, you’ll make me very happy! Leslie/Cooper is welcome but not obligatory.

Firefly/Star Trek The Original Series

I think that replacing the Alliance with the Federation makes both crews a little more morally ambiguous! What happens when the crew of the Enterprise and the crew of the Serenity have to come together despite (or because of) their political differences? Maybe Mal takes the place of Harry Mudd, and gets stuck on the bigger ship while carrying super shady cargo. Maybe the Enterprise lands on a cowboy planet and butts heads with Browncoats still fighting a war that the Federation considers long over. Can they cooperate on anything? Crossover ships are welcome, especially anything with Uhura or Kirk (I imagine he’d treat Inara with some amount of respect…) Don’t make either group outright bad guys, but feel free to explore the downsides to both or either.

Gawain can be any mix you want of flower of chivalry and human disaster, as long as he's a good and loving husband. You can involve the families or the rest of the mythos, or just focus on the two of them.

For art, there's so much Arthurian art you can draw on for inspiration from Disney's Sword in the Stone to Arthur Rackham and beyond, you have lots of freedom! Or just something close and cozy between the two would warm my heart.

Look, I can explain. I saw a video go around of an interview where the three were portrayed as a dysfunctional polycule, and now I can't stop thinking about it! (You could even throw this in as a 'missing scene' that Mike and the bots come across, possibly to their dismay!)

Art would probably be cartoony or influenced by pulp scifi covers, but I wouldn't say no to something tender, either.

Ex-thieves with dangerous, tormented pasts- but now they can be dangerous and tormented together! I'm cool with setting this in the original game or its DLCs or in the sequel, but either way, they can cling together through the dark times. I'd be happy for this to get sexual or even kinky so long as it doesn't go against my general DNWs (I could see them using rope, roleplaying as monsters, or switching bdsm roles) but it doesn't have to go there if you don't want.

Nobody ever needs to make another sexy Dracula movie again after this one, they’ll never top it! I watched Evie with the simultaneous thoughts “Get out of there!” and “Hell yeah, get it!” Can you make me feel both those things in a fic? In the period where she’s his captive bride, he could try very hard to persuade her that her new life will be an enjoyable one, and between the fear and any vampiric magic at work, Evie could find herself confused about what she wants, even though she opposes him. If you set it after the wedding, she could be playing nice in order to get his guard down and free the maids or destroy the castle. Either way, his seduction should be forceful and her response should be complex! (I'm fine with all the grossness of vampire society being snobby towards Evie in canon, but please don't go into race-based humiliation or anything.)

God/Pelor bless the newest Ravenloft manual for giving us a whole chart to roll on to find out what Tatyana thinks of her supernatural stalker! If this is the original Tatyana, set upon by her husband’s brother at his castle while a massacre takes place downstairs, it would almost certainly be noncon; if it’s one of her reincarnations, it could be more dubious, though having a near-godly vampire intent on claiming you has to be terrifying under even the best of circumstances. And if she’s an adventurer (PC class and race of your choice!) then she may have already been planning to fight him when he decided she was his true love! As a note, while I’m big on Ravenloft throughout the editions and novels, I haven’t been following general 5E metaplot very closely; I’ll enjoy references but won’t be a stickler for lore.

I’m stunned at how hard it is to find maledom with Guy on AO3, given that he was everyone’s bad boy crush back in the day! Anyway, this scenario could make all that predatory back-and-forth with Marian finally go all the way, with a consummate forced marriage or just Guy pushing his affections on her. Marian is always a fighter and that would probably hold true here as well, but she does canonically have some interest in Guy, so her attraction could complicate matters. Guy is probably not a sadist, but perhaps a little bit of brutality is what he needs for his purposes. Robin can be alluded to, forced to watch (which is fun but don’t have him victim-blame Marian!) or barely mentioned. I’m fine with Marian escaping or not at the end, and with Guy feeling guilty or fully justified.

I really thought this was where the movie was going! Obviously not, but I think adding more “new blood” in the form of a captive bride would have been a creepy but intriguing reason he invited his ex-girlfriend to the farm. Connie isn’t in quite as vulnerable a psychological state as Danni, but Ingemar might still believe she’ll ultimately come around. The Harga’s passive-aggressive seduction, drugging and brainwashing could come into play here, along with more aggressive captivity. For a more dubcon direction, Connie could be heavily under the sway of all the drugs and everyone’s displays of affection until things progress farther and faster than she’d planned; for a more noncon direction, she could be actively arguing and resisting while confined on the farm, Ingemar emphasizing all the while that this will work out for the best. I’d rather you not emphasize the implied racism of the cult, though that’s probably obvious from the pairing!

I’ve only read the first book, but I was extremely intrigued by this villain who so closely resembled Claire’s lost love even as he was being incredibly cruel- but for better or for worse, it didn’t end up playing with that much. What if it had? What if Jack, already such a psychologically fucked-up man, found that his obsession with Jamie had now grown into an obsession with his wife as well? What if the way she acted so familiar towards him and yet also so afraid proved infuriatingly seductive? This can happen any time in the first book, in addition to or instead of what he does to Jamie, instead of or a continuation of his attack on her when she’s trying to reach the stones, etc. I don’t want Jack to just be going after Claire to upset or as a proxy for Jamie, but feel free to explore the psychological twistiness or all this. If you want to play with the lines of consent, you can mess with Claire’s head, with any lingering feelings for her first husband coming out in unhappy ways when being manhandled by his doppleganger. I just want to see this nasty man be nasty to our heroine!

My very first vampire crush and the girl in his power! I’d love to see the lurid circumstances behind Star coming to live with David and his gang. It could have been something like what happened to Michael, where she was enticed into the cave and tricked into drinking David’s blood while the boys chanted her name, followed by sex she initially agreed to which suddenly took a turn for the horrific when she realized she wasn’t going to be allowed to leave. She could have been outright kidnapped, a treat for the evening whom David decided he enjoyed enough to keep around. She could have been happy with everything sexual but upset when she found the blood had given her awful cravings. I love David’s mixture of seductive temptation and brash punk machismo, and I’d love to see him pushing around and taking possession of Star. The bad-trip cave scene after the blood drinking in the movie gives a great feeling of hallucinogenic eroticism, and I would love if you could capture some of that.

Yeah, this one is because Dwayne is hot. So sue me. But I genuinely think there’s a lot of room to explore the secondary lost boys, and why not the quiet and mysterious one? What’s he thinking as he watches his leader toy with his beautiful prisoner? Maybe he’s jealous, and takes advantage of a time when David isn’t around, and Star would rather die than look to David for help, anyway. Maybe Star is kept as a group sex slave, and Dwayne is simply coming to take his turn (maybe he thinks that at least he’s not treating her as badly as some of the others, or maybe he’s the only one whose dark desires she’s really afraid of.) Or maybe she’s David’s girl, but he gives her to Dwayne one night as a reward- or as a punishment when Star was getting too defiant. Maybe he’s even the one who first found and lured her to the cave, before David asserted his leadership and took her for himself. Then again, maybe she is the one who comes on to him as an escape from vampiric sorrows, and finds the pleasure he offers a bit darker than she'd expected.

…or maybe we can have it both ways! You could use the idea that Star belongs to the whole gang, or this could be something that more or less spontaneously happens as a result of a fight or a night of narcotic feeding gone out of control. Does Star prefer one to the other? Is the overwhelming sensation of both aggressors better or worse than just one? How do David and Dwayne interact here- as rivals, or as twisted friends? Is this something Star is used to, or something new and terrifying? Is it happening long into her captivity, or the very night she first learns she’s a captive?

My first ever fanfic involved Maria (I was so scared of writing an OC!) so I have a special place in my heart for her- and am thus requesting that bad stuff happens to her! The fact that we know so little about her means that you have a lot of freedom when it comes to making this whatever degree of xcon you want. Both of these offer some very interesting enemy attraction setups, albeit with one monster approaching sex more literally and the other more metaphorically. I’m picturing something like an ahistorical gothic horror movie here (exploitation horror, I guess!) but you could also do a more modern urban fantasy erotica kind of thing. I like the thought of our warrior heroine overpowered but never stopping fighting, even at the hands of her very powerful and very sexy nemesis. There could be some dubcon in here if she got captured intentionally as a trap! It can end with him turning her or her slaying him, as you wish.
